While reading a few of my favorite blogs, I came across a few lists of 100 happy things. I thought it was a GREAT idea, and one I should copy. This list is a daily work in progress.
The purpose of this list is to help me be consistently aware of the little things that make me happy, and all the reasons I have to smile each day.

- The perfect fried egg (cooking it, not eating it.)

- Running in the rain (Never thought I would say I loved this, but I tried it, and I do!!)
- Listening to the girls read a book.
- Rainy, lazy days.
- Late night conversations with friends.
- Driving.
- Singing out loud. (Note: It makes ME happy, but not necessarily the person listening.)
- Just right naps. (You know, not so short that it just makes me mad but not so long that it keeps me from sleeping at night.)
- Laughing.
- Stories told by my parents and grandparents. Or anyone, really.
- Food fresh from the grill.
- Bacon wrapped jalapenos.
- Bacon wrapped shrimp.
- Just bacon.
- Lazy evenings with friends.
- Movies outside.
- Really good books.
- A stack of ironed clothes, ready for the week.
- Completed scrapbook pages.
- A wood-burning fire during the cold season.
- Watching a movie in the theater. LOVE this.
- Red or Blue Sour Patch Kids.
- Snow. (Being in Alabama, I think it’s more the unexpected surprise of snow than the actual snow!)
- LIPSTICK JUNGLE! Can’t BELIEVE that NBC canceled this show! UGH!
- Freshly painted nails.
- Inspiring blog posts.
- An organized closet, pantry, or cabinet.
- Writing.
- Sharing memories.
- SUNSHINE.
- Baby yawns.
- Baby noises.

- Birds chirping.
- Dogs. Dog faces. Dog snuggles.

- Kyndall’s sarcasm (Not the rude sarcasm, but the funny sarcasm. She has both.)
- Recycling. (I feel like I’m doing the environment a huge favor!)

- Cooking with my girls.

- Gardening. (I never thought I’d say this but I am super excited to get our garden going!)
- Family rides on the Polaris.
- Farming.
- When Jase grabs my face and says, “You are the exact Mama that I wished for.” (He does this a lot!)
- Having a tight-knit family. I joke that we live on a compound because my parents, grandparents, and sister all live next door to us. But I am so thankful for this and it makes my heart so happy!
