Today, I’m joining in with Emily P. Freeman to share what I’ve learned this month.
In no certain order:
Fasting isn’t just about not doing something, it is about replacing something bad with something good. So far, my social media fast has gone fairly well. I have stayed off Facebook and Twitter and Pinterest. I have gotten lots of reading in, but I have failed to get more Godly things in. Instead of picking up my Bible, I’ve picked up Sandra Brown. Instead of pausing to pray, I’ve pushed play on the TV. I’ve redirected my arrow, if you will. I’m allowing myself back on limited social media while simultaneously being intentional about getting in more prayer + bible study.
If you go to bed angry, you give the devil a chance to counsel you during your sleep. At our recent marriage conference, Dr. Evans talked about how little control we have of our thoughts. We have to be intentional about them. If we go to bed angry or upset, it will always seem so much worse in the morning, thanks to that sneaky ol’ devil.
We have a lot more stuff in our house than I thought. We are packing and moving and I don’t think we are ever going to have it all out!
IHOP’s Tropical Island Twist Splasher is my new favorite drink. Seriously, try it. Go to IHOP and just order a drink, it’s that good. It’s a mix of lemonade, Sprite, and mango syrup. Out-0f-this-world-amazing!
What about you? Have you learned anything interesting this month?

So many good things here that I relate with. It’s amazing how much we accumulate in our homes and we never seem to reach the end of it! Thanks for sharing your February with us. (stopping by from Emily’s place)
