Hey y’all! I’m Courtney- resident blogger, wife, mom, lover of Jesus, bookworm, aspiring writer, travel-addict, and chronic over-sharer.  This is my little corner of the internet, where I share all the ins and outs of our life here in the Sweet Home of Alabama.

Here, I write about my family.  I write about 19 years of marriage with the love of my life, Justin.  About our smart, sporty 17-year-old, Kyndall.  About our girly, big-hearted diva child, Libby, who is 15.  About our rambunctious boy, Jase, who is 8 and has everyone wrapped around his little finger.  And about our ever-growing family, biological and not, that I ‘mother’.  I love mothering and nothing makes me happier than being with my people.

I write about my faith.  I believe my relationship with Christ is ever-changing and ever-growing.  I write my way through this growth process and share my love of Jesus.

I write about book stuff.  I am an avid reader and lover of all things literary.  By day, I am a teacher at our local elementary school, so my life is immersed in books of all genres and age levels.

I write about our travels.  I keep my suitcase at the ready and am always up for a trip.  Few things make me happier than spontaneous road trips with my people.

I write about my passions.  I am very passionate about lots of things.  I tend to jump into new things feet first and without a second glance.  I am a great initiator of things but a poor completer of things.  I write about whatever it is I am passionate about in this current season.  To learn more about me, read this post.

Forrest Gump says, “Life is like a box of chocolate.  You never know what you’re gonna get.”  This blog is a little like that.  But I hope, no matter what you find here, it’s encouraging and uplifting.  I hope it makes you say “Me too.”  I hope it’s like a breath of fresh air to your soul.  And I hope you come back.
