Time flies when you are having fun, and I forget to document it all. When I started this blog WAAAAAAAAY back in 2012, it was for memory keeping and to share our lives with family who didn’t live close. Our Alabama Life has grown and changed a lot since then, but I want to make sure to always keep that “scrapbook” part tucked in here. So begins a new series, Catching Up With the Wests, where I update you on what’s going on in our lives, currently. All the small things that I want to remember but that won’t get their own full blog post. Enjoy =)
Snow day fun. In Alabama, this is as much snow as we usually get, but we make the most of it! An old truck hood tied behind the Ranger and these kids (and adults!) played for days! Gra-Gra stayed inside where it was warm and cooked all kinds of delicious foods, so we are all hoping for another big snow soon =)
I took Kobe fishing for the first (and probably last!) time. Everything was going great until it wasn’t. One minute he was standing there fishing and the next he was diving head first into the freezing cold pond! I yanked him out by the hood of his jacket and we both cried on the way back to the house. I’m pretty sure his mama will never let me take him to the pond again!
Libby made Varsity cheerleader for her Junior year. There was never any doubt, but she is questioning the choices of her new coach…..
Girls trip to see Someone Like You. We didn’t just forget about K– she had a ZETA event, so she had to miss it.
Lib’s new ride. She will be turning 16 way sooner that I am ready for and was super excited to be handed the keys to this Jeep Grand Cherokee. She can’t wait to deck the inside out in all hot pink! Actually, she wanted to deck the outside out in all hot pink, too, but we vetoed that.
We opened a coffee truck! And by we, I mean Kyndall. This is her dream and I love that we get to do this with her! I love seeing her entrepreneur spirit and I LOVE watching her and Libby work together. K has such a mind for business and she can make one amazing cup of coffee! Grand opening day was a HUGE success and it’s still going really well!
My little baristas. It’s so fun watching them when the truck gets busy– they can sling out some drinks like nobody’s business (and be completely covered in coffee bean dust from head to toe!)
New baby on the farm! (Justin is in need of some mens sneakers to replace those falling apart crocs. Thank goodness for adidas and our partnership!). One of my favorite parts of farm life is when new babies arrive and we get to love on them.
Meg Moroney concert with my girl! We are a music-loving family and I LOVE experiencing the concert atmosphere with my girls!
See you next time for Catching Up With the Wests #2!
