With all the moving and house stuff I’ve been doing lately, I’ve forgotten to update you on all the random things we’ve had going on. And I know you would all be lost without the play-by-play of our lives, right? 🙂 This post is full of pictures from my phone and explanations of the things we’ve been doing, currently.
Learning to tie shoes. Libby is left-handed, which makes everything more challenging. Writing was especially tough, but learning to tie her shoes comes in a close second. Justin and I are both right-handed, so we are having to teach her the opposite of what we actually do. It’s a perfect example of the whole “Do as I say, not as I do” thing. I think she has finally gotten the hang of it!
Sunshine-y day street stroll. This was taken on one of the last pretty days before we moved out to the farm. It was gorgeous and it was fun but it is nothing compared to the joy my girls have already experienced being back on the farm.
Slumber party! The girls have been begging for months to have a sleepover. I knew once we moved in with my parents it would be a while before they could have a sleepover again, so we scheduled one a few weeks ago. These girls are all so sweet and got along tremendously. (FYI: Slumber parties can be iffy if you don’t have the right combination of girls!)
Chinese New Year just happened to coincide with the Super Bowl this year. Maybe it does every year and I just don’t know, but we are especially tuned in to all things China now that our sweet friends are adopting. We celebrated by watching the game, having Chinese take-out, Chinese decorations, and taking goofy pictures!
This girl has developed a love for reading and I couldn’t be happier. (With both of my girls, it happened during 2nd grade.) She walks around the house with her nose in a book all the time now.
Valentine’s Day photo booth at school, complete with props.
Both girls were recognized at our Pride program for A Honor Roll.
And they danced their hearts out at the Winter Dance.
And this cute photo just had to be shared. We are always very hesitant to let Max around Jase–Max is a great dog and I don’t think he would ever bite, but he is still a dog. And a big one, at that. You can never be too cautious. But on this particular day, Justin let Jase get close while he was right there (because Jase thinks Max is just the greatest thing ever!) and I got this shot. One little Max-lick and Jase’s entire arm was wet.
This weekend, we got all moved out of our house in town and all moved into my parents’ house. After a full day of working Friday and Saturday, we took Sunday to hang out with the kids and re-acquaint ourselves with the farm. We rode the 4-wheeler for hours and Max followed us everywhere. I have no doubt that he is going to love our new home!
And that’s our month, in a few words + photos.
