Ipsy Glam Bag is a $10 beauty subscription service that sends subscribers a monthly assortment of cosmetics and beauty accessories. At the sign up, you will complete a beauty quiz to determine your preferences and Ipsy uses this to determine what products to include in your glam bag. Each bag contains 5 full- or trial-sized products.
I don’t subscribe to Ipsy (yet) but my sister does, and that’s just about the same thing, right? What’s hers is mine and all that 🙂 Of the two of us, she is definitely the makeup savvy one.
Let’s review what was in her March bag.
Be A Bombshell Baked Bronzer in Heat Wave; Full size, Value: $15.99
Bronzer is one of my favorite beauty products already, so I was anxious to try this one. It went on smoothly, but I was disappointed in the color. It was very sheer and didn’t show up well on my face at all.
Model Co. LipLacquer in Socialite; Trial Size, Value: $12.00
I am not typically a fan of lip gloss. I don’t like the bright shine or the feel. This ipsy glam bag product was the exception. It looks super bright red, but goes on much lighter. It didn’t have too much shine and it felt amazing on my lips!
Evologie Intensive Blemish Serum.; Full Size, Value: $14.20.
I’m going to be honest–I didn’t even use this product. I don’t typically have an issue with acne (I probably just jinxed myself by saying that!) so I had no reason to try it out. Had this been my bag, they probably would have included some type of wrinkle cream instead of the acne serum 🙂
It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer; Trial Size, Value: $26.84
This was my absolute favorite product in the entire March Ipsy glam bag. I struggle with dark circles and this concealer was magic. Bye Bye Under Eye, for reals. If you have issues with dark circles or even under eye anything, you need this concealer.
OFRA eyeliner in Coffee Bean; Full Size, Value: $13.00
This eyeliner when on smoothly and I liked the color. It stayed on really well throughout the day, without smudging, which is always a plus. However, I don’t like the ‘pencil’ part. Who has time to sharpen their eyeliner pencil? Not me, that’s for sure.
Verdict: This box had a value of $82.03. Not too bad for a $10 subscription. Might even be good enough to subscribe myself. I could stand to try out a few new products!
