Wow. You guys, last week was a wild one. We hosted the Book Fair at school, had one soccer game and two practices, went to gymnastics, attended a homecoming dance and sat through one way-too-long professional development meeting.
Then, on Friday, we attended the Homecoming pep rally.
Justin’s sister Kristi drove in from Arkansas with the cutest little nephew ever, West. (The girls think it’s uber cool that his first name is our last name.)
Friday night we watched Gabby twirl at her last-ever high school homecoming game. How is that even possible? (PS: How do you like K’s pose in this picture? Just when I thought I had Libby posing natural, I get this.)
Madi came home with us from the game to spend the night. Saturday I tackled twelve loads of laundry before noon. (Ok, maybe twelve is a slight exaggeration. But I washed a lot of clothes, y’all.)
A little after that, our house transformed into a circus.
Justin’s brothers and sister came over to watch the games. Jase could not figure out what to do with sweet Penelope. She tried to teach him to crawl but it didn’t work out.
The girls had slumber party company. Sunday, all nine people at my house were up and on time for Sunday School. That is quite the accomplishment, if I do say so myself.
After depositing all slumber party guests back to their own homes, the girls and I attacked the house with a vengeance to get it somewhat back in order while Justin attended a youth league basketball meeting to get K all signed up and ready for that. (We don’t take breaks around here. Soccer tournaments start this week and basketball practices begin as soon as tournaments are over.)
Sunday night, we visited Pops and Gra-Gra’s church for Grandparents Night. After church, two kids fell asleep on the way home and the house was dark and silent by 9:00 pm. And today, we start all over again.
It’s just another manic Monday 🙂
